A number of high-ranking delegations from foreign countries will visit Tajikistan this week

DUSHANBE, 01.07.2024 /NIAT «Khovar»/. A number of high-ranking delegations of foreign states and international organizations will visit the Republic of Tajikistan this week, Tajik MoFA press-secretary said.
On July 1, a delegation from the Swiss Confederation headed by Foreign Minister Iñacio Cassis will arrive in Tajikistan on a two-day visit.
The Foreign Minister will be received by the Founder of Peace and National Unity — Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.
Negotiations between the Foreign Ministers of Tajikistan and Switzerland will also take place, and a wide range of bilateral relations will be discussed.
On July 2, the Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Shahboz Sharif, will start his official visit to the Republic of Tajikistan. It should be worth noting that this visit is his first official visit to a foreign country after his election to this post.
During the visit, talks between the President of Tajikistan and the Prime Minister of Pakistan will be held at the Palace of the Nation in a narrow and extended format.
A package of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents is expected to be signed.
On July 4-5, the Secretary-General of the United Nations Organization António Guterres will pay an official visit to Tajikistan.
He will be received by the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.
On July 4-6, the President of the People’s Republic of China Mr. Xi Jinping will pay a state visit to Tajikistan.
The President of Tajikistan and the President of China will meet in a narrow format at the Palace of the Nation. The two leaders will also hold talks with the participation of government delegations.
Following the visit, a solid package of interstate, intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents is expected to be signed.
The leaders of the two countries will also adopt a Joint Statement, which will reflect the approaches of Tajikistan and China to the issues of further development of bilateral relations, regional and international agendas.
