Honorary Consul of Tajikistan became «The Consul of the Year» in Germany
DUSHANBE, 05.12.2017. /NIAT “Khovar”/. On December 3, annual conference was held in Berlin at the initiative of diplomatic magazine of Germany «Diplomatisches Magazin». More than 300 representatives of political, diplomatic, economic and cultural circles were invited to attend this conference. NIAT “Khovar” has been reported by the Embassy of Tajikistan in Germany.
Within the framework of the conference in accordance with the Collegiums decision of the diplomatic magazine «Diplomatisches Magazin», the Honorary Consul of Tajikistan in Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein Kurush Purkiyon was awarded a honorary prize “The Consul of the Year” for the fruitful activity in performing Honorary Consul duties, significant contribution to the presentation of modern Tajikistan, and holding events to celebrate historical dates and national holidays of Tajikistan in Germany.
The prize was awarded to Kurush Purkiyon in a festive atmosphere by the chief-editor of diplomatic magazine «Diplomatisches Magazin» Irene Ernst. Kurush Purkiyon in his speech, in particular, noted:
“The Republic of Tajikistan for 26 years of its Independence under the leadership of Leader of the Nation — President of the Republic of Tajikistan His Excellency Emomali Rahmon has gained great achievements. As an Honorary Consul I have the honor to make contribution to the presentation of ancient history and culture of Tajik nation, as well as the achievements of modern Tajikistan and by this way contribute to the strengthening of multilateral cooperation between the two friendly countries — Tajikistan and Germany”.
The Ambassador of Tajikistan in Germany Maliksho Nematov has handed him a certificate for his profitable work as a Honorary Consul of Tajikistan, and as a sign of respect gave him a national robe.
It should be noted that Kurush Purkiyon is a citizen of Germany, and since 2013 he performs the duties of Honorary Consul in the German Federal States of Hamburg and Schleswig-Holstein.
