DUSHANBE, 30.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On 30 July, In Tehran, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with the Speaker of the Islamic Consultative Assembly of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf.

A fruitful conversation took place on various aspects of friendship and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two fraternal countries.

It was noted that the common historical, cultural and civilizational values of the two countries speaking the same language form a solid basis for bilateral relations.

Additionally, it was expressed satisfaction with the process of strengthening and expanding parliamentary ties and the activities of inter-parliamentary friendship groups.

It was emphasized that relations between legislative bodies play an important role in creating a favorable basis for expanding cooperation in various sectors, including economics and trade.

The Head of State, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, called the continuation of constructive inter-parliamentary dialogue effective, and invited Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf to visit Tajikistan at his convenience.
