DUSHANBE, 12.08.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Today the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon had a telephone conversation with the Prime Minister of Japan Fumio Kishida at the initiative of the Japanese side.
At the beginning of the conversation, the Head of our state expressed words of solidarity and support in connection with the recent strong earthquake in friendly Japan.
Further, the Leader of the Nation emphasized the Tajik side’s understanding of the decision to postpone the recently scheduled multilateral and bilateral meetings.
During the conversation, the sides also discussed the current state and prospects of Tajik-Japanese relations, and reaffirmed readiness to continue contacts aimed at their further development.
At the same time, the sides exchanged views on topical issues on the international and regional agenda.
