President Emomali Rahmon opens new building of the Medical Division of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in Sughd Province

DUSHANBE, 09.07.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 9, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, commissioned in the city of Khujand a new building of the Medical Division of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in Sughd Province, and got acquainted with the conditions of modern services provided there.
The new building of the Medical Division of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in Sughd Province consists of 4 floors and a basement, and its total area, including the courtyard, is 8250 square meters. In general, there are 28 working rooms in the new building of the Medical Division, which provide favorable working conditions for 20 medical workers.
During the visit to the facilities of this medical institution, the Leader of the Nation was informed that there are 18 treatment rooms with 46 beds on the second and third floors of the division, and 46 people can receive inpatient treatment at the same time.
In the basement of the building there is a canteen for 20 people, a biochemical and clinical laboratory room, an X-ray room, an ultrasound examination, an electrocardiogram, etc.
The division’s clinic is located on the first floor and consists of administrative offices, working rooms for otolaryngologist, dermatologist, neurologist, internal medicine, patient reception room, registration, operating room and dentist.
The fourth floor consists of special rooms, physiotherapy, natural healing (LFK), accounting, meeting hall and office rooms.
It was reported that the construction of the new building of the Medical Division of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in Sughd Province began in March 2023 and was built with the financing of the domestic businessman Jamshed Bayzoev and by the “Tajfilizsohtmon” company.
The Head of State highly appreciated the completed work and advised the department’s employees to use the provided conditions purposefully and to make more efforts to improve the health of law enforcement officers and veterans of the field.
It is necessary to mention that the former building of the Medical Division of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan in Sughd Province, which was operating since 1997 on Kamoli Khujandi street in Khujand city, did not meet today’s requirements, and now the employees in the new modern building enjoy modern working conditions and services.
This institution was built on the basis of the instructions of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, to improve the condition of hospitals and implement the «Health Protection Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period up to 2030», and it is equipped with the necessary medical devices and equipment.
