DUSHANBE, 27.09.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 27, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairman of the Majlisi milli Majlisi Oli of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Honorable Rustam Emomali, in continuation of their visit to «Rogun» hydropower plant reviewed the progress of works in the spillway tunnels of water intake units No. 3 and No. 4 at the level of 1152 meters above sea level.

The works on the upper walls of this facility, such as blasting, sandblasting, cementation and reinforcement, as well as inside the spillway tunnels, are carried out by domestic specialists.

It was reported that until now the tunneling and reinforcement works have been completed in these tunnels, and the cementing and reinforcement works are ongoing.

Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, praised the work done so far and guided the officials to complete the work in a timely manner.

In this section, the project works by the workers and specialists, who work day and night, continue with high quality and are approaching the final level step by step.

The Head of State was informed that the upper spillway tunnels No. 3 and No. 4 were completely dug up, reinforced with a temporary coating, and its final cementing and reinforcement was completed in the amount of 30 and 20 percent, respectively.

Specialists and workers are enthusiastically looking for constructive work in this facility and are trying to complete their tasks with high quality and on time.

Honorable Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, taking into account the vital importance of the construction of the «Rogun» HPP in the development of independent Tajikistan, guided the employees to responsibility and high-quality work in this facility of the century.

In the continuation, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, visited the progress of works in permanent water intakes at the level of 1300 meters above sea level.

As it was said, the quality of works in this area meets the requirements, and all the basic measures, starting from site preparation to concreting and anchoring of ceilings and walls, and other works are carried out with a special construction system according to engineering safety standards.

Increasing the production of electricity to ensure the orderly and stable development of the national economy, meeting the ever-increasing demands of the production industries and the country’s population is one of the primary needs.

With the construction of this large power plant, along with the elimination of the lack of electricity, as well as the development of various sectors of the economy, the creation of new jobs and the improvement of the social life of the people, a stable foundation will be created.

Honorable Leader of the Nation Emomali Rahmon, while familiarizing himself with the work process, expressed satisfaction that with the dedicated efforts of the builders of the important construction of the century, the works in this construction site have progressed a lot.

 The construction works at the «Rogun» hydroelectric power plant are continuing according to the plan at a high level and quality, and the founders of this house of light are working around the clock to contribute to the development and progress of independent Tajikistan.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, also observed the work process in the vertical shafts of the permanent water intake gates, which are at a height of 1290 meters above sea level.
