Tajikistan, the World Bank discusses International Conference Dedicated to Glaciers’ Preservation in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 26.09.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – On September 25, 2024, on the margins of the 79th Session of the United Nations General Assembly, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan Sirojiddin Muhriddin held a meeting with Global Director for the World Bank Group’s Climate Change Global Practice Jennifer Sara.
The meeting focused on preparations for the upcoming International Conference Dedicated to Glaciers’ Preservation to be held in Dushanbe, Tajikistan, in May 2025. The parties agreed to collaborate on content preparation, with the World Bank joining efforts alongside the Government of Tajikistan, the World Meteorological Organization and UNESCO.
