Khujand hosts the second bilateral consultations between the Secretariats of the Security Councils of Tajikistan and Uzbekistan

DUSHANBE, 04.10.2024 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The second bilateral consultations between the Secretariat of the Security Council of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Secretariat of the Security Council under the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan were held in Khujand (Tajikistan) on October 3.
During the consultations there was a meaningful exchange of views and information on challenges and threats to national and regional security, with a focus on further strengthening cooperation in the fight against terrorism and extremism, organized crime, drug trafficking and other challenges and threats.
The information on the implementation of the Protocol of the first bilateral consultations was also taken into account. Following the meeting, the Secretaries of the Security Councils of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan — Nasrullo Mahmudzoda and Viktor Mahmudov signed the protocol.
