DUSHANBE, 05.10.2024 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, a telephone conversation was held between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, and the Chairwoman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matviyenko.
The Chairwoman of the Upper Chamber of the Russian Parliament sincerely congratulated the Leader of the Nation on his birthday.
The Leader of the Nation congratulated Valentyna Matviyenko on her re-election to the position of Chairwoman of the Federation Council with wishes for health and success.
During the conversation, an exchange of views took place on certain aspects of multifaceted cooperation between Tajikistan and Russia. In this regard, special attention was paid to inter-parliamentary relations. It was emphasized that the principles of strategic partnership and alliance form a solid foundation of relations between Tajikistan and Russia, and the smooth development of inter-parliamentary ties continues as their integral part.
Also, there was a discussion on upcoming contacts and events of inter-parliamentary nature.
