The implementation of the next initiative of the President of Tajikistan regarding the role of artificial intelligence discusses in New York

DUSHANBE, 17.10.2024 /NIAT Khowar/. On October 16, 2024, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the UN, Jonibek Hikmat, met with the Special Envoy of the UN Secretary-General on Technology, Amandeep Singh Gill.
During the meeting, the parties exchanged views on the implementation of the next initiative by the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. Mr. Emomali Rahmon, regarding the role of Artificial Intelligence in creating new opportunities for socio-economic development and accelerating the achievement of the SDGs in Central Asia.
The interlocutors also highlighted the importance of organizing side events on this topic, particularly to promote the UNGA draft resolution, in order to advance this process in a timely manner.
