Commentary on the Decree of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan on declaring 2025-2030 as the “Years of Digital Economy and Innovation Development”

DUSHANBE, 08.01.2025 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Ensuring the systematic development of artificial intelligence, digitalization of the national economy and innovative technologies is one of the priority areas of the state policy, and in a short period of time, with the initiative and direct support of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, the foundations of the digital economy infrastructure and the legal foundations of the sector have been established and strengthened.
Realizing the importance of the topic, in the modern conditions of development and strengthening of all spheres of social life, and in this regard, expanding the process of digitalization of the national economy and the development of innovation processes in the country, 2025-2030 were declared “Years of Digital Economy and Innovation Development” at the initiative of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan during his annual Address to the Parliament.
Today, Tajikistan is taking solid steps towards the digitalization of sectors of the national economy to ensure transparency of economic and financial relations, and the timely implementation of this initiative will allow this process to be expanded in the next five years, the legal framework to be improved, and relevant documents to be adopted and implemented in the direction of the transition to a digital economy.
Digital infrastructure, the development of data processing centers, and the creation of a comprehensive national database will further be developed, and full digitalization of state services will be implemented.
Human capital will be developed through training and retraining of personnel in IT at home and abroad, and awareness of the use of digital technologies will be raised.
Widespread use of artificial intelligence in the provision of services and the state registration system will be introduced, and cybersecurity of databases will be ensured. At the same time, digital entrepreneurship and the development of e-commerce will be formed.
In this process, the training of programmers and other specialists necessary for the development of the digital economy will be carried out in the educational system of institutions of all levels of vocational education, and through incentives in the field of IT and retraining in leading foreign institutions, highly qualified national personnel will emerge.
