DUSHANBE, 02.01.2025 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The Republican Contest «Tajikistan — My Beloved Homeland» is being held in its seventh year under the patronage and attention of the Founder of Peace and National Unity – Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, with the aim of presenting the high culture of the Tajik nation, reviving and promoting national art, paying tribute to ancestral arts and crafts, raising the professional level of music, musicianship, singing, professional skills in painting, sculpture, decoration and sewing, and selecting the best examples of melodies, songs and works of art.
By direct instruction of the Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, the amount of prizes for the winners of the Contest has been doubled, and 7,680,000 (seven million six hundred and eighty thousand) somoni have been allocated for the Contest from the Reserve Fund of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan.
Thus, the Grand Prize winners will be awarded 100,000 somoni, and the winners of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places will be awarded 70,000, 50,000 and 30,000 somoni, respectively.
At the same time, in accordance with this year’s changes, the academic genre of the musical nomination in the Contest has been divided into two parts, and this initiative will allow applicants to demonstrate their skills and talents in playing national and European instruments.
The number of all third-place winners has also increased from 2 places to 3 places, and active and enthusiastic participants have been given more opportunities to win.
Therefore, in 2025, the number of winners will be 137, which is by 17 more than last year.
In addition, if students who are studying in fee-paying groups at educational institutions win 1st, 2nd, 3rd or Grand Prize in the republican round of the Contest, they will be transferred to the free education group.
