Masoud Pezeshkian: “I don’t feel like a stranger in Tajikistan”

DUSHANBE, 16.01.2025 /NIAT “Khovar”/. Today, the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, during a one-on-one meeting with the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, said that he does not feel like a stranger in Tajikistan, but feels as if he is really in Iran.
The Iranian President expressed confidence that relations between Iran and Tajikistan can be stronger and better in all fields of economy, science, culture, politics and security.
“We can make our previous relations stronger. We are ready to help each other in expanding and developing all possible fields,” Masoud Pezeshkian said.
It should be recalled that today the welcoming ceremony of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Honorable Masoud Pezeshkian took place at the square of the Palace of the Nation, festively decorated for the first state visit of the high-ranking guest.
The welcoming ceremony began with a report by the commander of the guard of honor to the high-ranking guest, the performance of the national anthems of the two countries, passing by the guard of honor, paying homage to the State Flag of Tajikistan, and introduction of the official delegations of the two sides, and ended with a ceremonial march and the passing of the guard of honor in front of the heads of the two states.
Also, artillery shells were fired 21 times in honor of the state visit of the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
