Sirojiddin Muhriddin: The 700th anniversary of Hafiz Sherozi to celebrate in Paris

DUSHANBE, 11.02.2025 /NIAT “Khovar”/. The event dedicated to the 700th anniversary of Hafiz Sherozi will be held in June 2025 in Paris, announced the country’s Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, during a press conference.
“The event includes an International Scientific Conference, a cultural program with the performance of Shashmaqom, an exhibition of manuscripts and paintings, as well as a concert program. The event is also held to bring together scientists and scholars from all over the world. I would like to remind you that on June 7, 2024, on the initiative of the Republic of Tajikistan, the International Scientific Conference dedicated to the memory of Mavlono Jaloliddin Balkhi was held at the headquarters of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization in Paris. The purpose of the conference is to honor the memory of the world-famous Tajik-Persian thinker and poet Mavlono Balkhi and recognize his invaluable contribution to the development of world culture,” the minister added.
According to Sirojiddin Mukhriddin, one of the memorable events of the past year was the inclusion of joint nominations of the Republic of Tajikistan in the UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage List.
On December 4, 2024, during the 19th session of the Intergovernmental Committee for the Safeguarding of Intangible Cultural Heritage, Tajikistan’s joint nominations “The Ceremony of Mehrega» and “The Art of Crafting and Playing Rubab” were included.
