On March 30, in the city of Khujand, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honourable Emomali Rahmon, also commissioned the Afrang Plastic LLC plastic and aluminum profile production plant.

It was reported that the Afrang Plastic LLC plastic and aluminum profile production plant was built in the Sughd Free Economic Zone by domestic entrepreneur Tohir Olimi with the involvement of domestic and foreign capital. The enterprise is equipped with the latest production equipment and technologies from Germany, South Korea and China and produces competitive export-oriented products.

Here, plastic doors and windows are manufactured and offered in various shapes and sizes according to the tastes of the buyer.

It was reported that this enterprise is the largest facility in the industry in the Sughd Free Economic Zone, and 70-80% of its products are exported abroad.

Construction work on the newly built facility has been ongoing for almost 3 years, and during this time more than 100 local residents have been employed.

The enterprise is capable of manufacturing up to 6 thousand tons of plastic products per year. After 3 years of operation, this capacity will be increased to 8 thousand tons per year, and the number of employees to 150.

Currently, 100 workers at this enterprise produce finished plastic and aluminum products in accordance with European standards.

During the acquaintance, the Head of State Emomali Rahmon assessed the initiative of the domestic entrepreneur in the direction of establishing the production of competitive products and providing residents with jobs as important.

It was reported that in the city of Khujand, special attention is paid to the development of industry as a priority sector of the economy, modern enterprises are being built, and the social level of the population is being improved. In the first 3 months of 2025 alone, 9 new factories and enterprises were built and put into operation in the city of Khujand, which is a clear example of the development of the industry in this part of the country.
