On March 13, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, within the framework of a state visit to the Kyrgyz Republic, met with the Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Kyrgyz Republic Adylbek Kasymaliev.
The meeting discussed topical issues of developing relations between Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, with a focus on the implementation of agreements reached during the state visit in the field of trade and economy.
A detailed exchange of views took place on cooperation between the two countries in the fields of trade and economy, agriculture, energy and investment.
Special attention was paid to the issues of establishing joint ventures in promising sectors of industry, organizing exhibitions and trade forums, and setting up close and fruitful cooperation between regions, especially border areas. The issue of restoring passenger air flights between the cities of the two countries was also in the focus.
Other topics of discussion included the development of cultural and humanitarian cooperation, especially in the fields of science, education, youth policy, tourism, and sports.
