Development of Inter-Parliamentary Relations Between Tajikistan and Japan Discussed in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 28.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The prospects for enhancing inter-parliamentary cooperation between Tajikistan and Japan were discussed during a meeting between Sharif Hakimzoda, Deputy Chair of the Committee on State Building and Local Governance of the Assembly of Representatives and Head of the Tajikistan-Japan Parliamentary Friendship Group, and Keiko Furuya, Ambassador of Japan to Tajikistan.
It was noted that the Parliamentary Friendship Group between Assembly of Representatives of Tajikistan and the House of Representatives of Japan was established in 2008, and has since played a consistent role in strengthening parliamentary ties.
The meeting reaffirmed that inter-parliamentary relations between Tajikistan and Japan will continue to expand, playing a key role in promoting economic, humanitarian, and cultural cooperation between the two nations.
