Grand Celebration of World Football Day Held in Dushanbe

DUSHANBE, 26.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – A spectacular football festival took place yesterday at the Central Republican Stadium in Dushanbe to mark World Football Day, established on the initiative of Rustam Emomali, President of the Football Federation of Tajikistan, and supported by the United Nations.
The event gathered 700 children and aimed to promote grassroots and youth football as well as a healthy lifestyle.
High-ranking officials, foreign ambassadors, football veterans, and notable public figures attended, highlighting the international recognition of Tajikistan’s football initiatives.
The stadium hosted 20,000 spectators, creating a festive football atmosphere, complemented by an entertainment program and special play areas for children.
