DUSHANBE, 28.05.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On May 28, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the First Vice President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Honorable Constantino Chiwenga, who arrived in Dushanbe to participate in the first International High-Level Conference on Glaciers’ Preservation.
The meeting discussed issues of expanding cooperation between the two countries.
Much attention was paid to strengthening and expanding ties in the political, economic, industrial, energy and agricultural spheres.
It was recognized as necessary to establish cooperation in the fields of education, science, culture, sports and organizing visits of scientists and artisans.
It was also recognized as important to establish cooperation between the parliaments of the two countries.
During the conversation, the parties expressed satisfaction with the good level of cooperation within the framework of international and regional organizations, including the UN, and emphasized that they will continue to support each other’s initiatives.
