DUSHANBE, 26.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 26, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, opened a modern greenhouse in Rushon district and visited an exhibition of the products of the district’s farmers.

The greenhouse was built by domestic entrepreneur Ruslan Saynakov on an area of 0.64 hectares as part of the Action Plan to celebrate the great and sacred national holiday — 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan.

Currently, the greenhouse mainly grows cucumbers, tomatoes and bell peppers. Vegetables in the greenhouse are drip-irrigated and provided with nutrients.

The greenhouse provides 10 local residents with permanent jobs and good salaries.

The greenhouse consists of 6 sections, and 30 tons of various vegetables are produced from it per year.

Fresh and environmentally friendly vegetables are sold from the greenhouse to local markets and other cities and districts of the Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Province.

During the visit, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, gave useful advice to farmers on expanding greenhouse activities and obtaining good harvests, and considered increasing the area of greenhouses an important factor in ensuring the abundance of products in the markets throughout the year.

At the same time, he advised farmers to use every piece of land at their disposal effectively and apply the experience of growing several crops from one piece of land wisely and effectively.

At the farm, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, also visited an exhibition of products of farmers from the Rushon district and got acquainted with agricultural indicators.

It was said that the total area of Rushon district is 587 thousand 70 hectares, of which 1396 hectares are irrigated arable lands. The farmsteads have 110 hectares of land, and farmers are trying to use every inch of it effectively.

It was reported that to date, crops have been planted on 777 hectares of land. This season, cereals and legumes have been planted on 374 hectares, potatoes — on 246 hectares, and vegetables and other crops — on 153 hectares.

The Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, given the importance of using natural resources, instructed farmers and officials in the agricultural sector to use all available opportunities for the purposeful use of water and land.
