President Emomali Rahmon inaugurates new modern building and laboratory of State Road Maintenance Institution of Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Province in Khorugh

DUSHANBE, 27.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – On June 27, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, opened the building and laboratory of the State Road Maintenance Institution of Badakhshan Mountainous Autonomous Province in the city of Khorugh.
This facility, built with modern equipment and technical infrastructure in accordance with international standards, is located in the Tem area of the city of Khorugh and will serve as an important engineering and testing center for the maintenance, control and development of the region’s roads.
The test facility was built within the framework of the project “Improvement of regional communication routes in Central Asia — “BRAMOM-4”, the total cost of which is more than 5 million somoni.
The building consists of three floors and has modern infrastructure and conditions that meet international standards.
On the first floor, there are 11 spacious working rooms for employees, and on the second and third floors, there are spacious canteens and guest rooms for guests and workers.
The Leader of the Nation was informed that this building is the first institution with such high-level conditions in the republic and is connected to the State Unitary Enterprise of the Digitalization Center of the Ministry of Transport of the Republic of Tajikistan. Through a single digital management network, all technical means of the institution, equipped with GPS, are managed and controlled.
During the presentation of the electronic map of the region’s roads, the Leader of the Nation got acquainted with the latest methods of monitoring the condition of the roads.
Using such conditions and new equipment, the State Institution for the Maintenance of Roads of the region will be able to effectively make a significant contribution to road maintenance, ensuring transport safety, and providing timely services to drivers and passengers.
During his visit to the laboratory, the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, expressed his satisfaction with the quality of testing equipment, the level of training of engineers, and the working environment of employees.
