DUSHANBE, 04.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The AFC has announced the seeding pots for the draw of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 qualifiers, which is scheduled to take place on June 26, according to the Tajikistan Football Federation.

The national futsal team of Tajikistan, currently ranked 44th in the FIFA Futsal World Rankings, has been placed in Pot 2. This means the team will avoid being drawn into the same group as other Pot 2 teams such as Kyrgyzstan, Saudi Arabia, Australia, Lebanon, Myanmar, South Korea, and Malaysia.

A total of 30 national teams will compete in the qualifiers, which will form eight groups: six groups will include four teams each, while two groups will consist of three teams.

The final stage of the AFC Futsal Asian Cup 2026 will be held in Indonesia from 27 January to 7 February 2026. The winners of each group along with the seven best second-placed teams will qualify for the tournament.

Tajikistan will be aiming to build on its recent performances and secure a place in Asia’s premier futsal championship.
