DUSHANBE, 09.06.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The U-18 national football team of Tajikistan will participate in the 2025 CAFA U-20 Championship, to be held from June 10 to 17 in the cities of Hissor and Tursunzoda.

Six national teams will take part in the regional tournament: Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Iran, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Afghanistan. Following the official draw, the teams have been divided into two groups.

As per the tournament regulations, teams will play in a single round-robin format during the group stage. The group winners will meet in the final match, while the second-place teams will compete for third place. A consolation match will also be held to determine fifth and sixth places.

The tournament matches will be hosted at the Central Stadium in Hissor and the “TALCO Arena” in Tursunzoda.

It is noteworthy that the core of the Tajikistan U-18 squad consists of players from the national U-17 team, which is scheduled to participate in the 2025 FIFA U-17 World Cup in Qatar this November.
