Tajikistan, Pakistan discuss CASA-1000 energy project

DUSHANBE, 11.08.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – Saidjon Shafizoda, Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Pakistan, met with Faisal Karim Kundi, Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, reports the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in Pakistan.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state, prospects, and expansion of cooperation in various fields, including the economy, trade, investment, energy, higher education, agriculture, tourism, culture and art, sports, banking, air transport, and other issues of mutual interest.
It was noted that the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province is ready to attract investment and cooperate with Tajikistan. A Business Forum between Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa province and Khatlon region was a topic of discussion.
The progress of the CASA-1000 project was also touched.
It should be recalled that in 2024, based on the provisions of the Agreement on Transit Trade signed in December 2022, a convoy of trucks belonging to the National Logistics Company of Pakistan (NLC) arrived directly from Pakistan to Tajikistan for the first time.
