The total area of the Solehjon farm is 1 hectare, and there are 23 hectares of such fertile orchards adjacent to it.
The abundant harvest of apples «Zarrintob», «Sitorai Kuhsor» and “Nozanin” pears, which are the main varieties of orchard fruits in this region, was assessed as the result of the dedicated work of orchardists.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that last year, 25 tons of apple were harvested from each hectare of apple orchard in this region.
This year, the apple harvest at the Solehjon farm will begin in the first decade of October, and according to the analysis of industry experts, it is possible to obtain more than 25 tons of harvest from each hectare.
The harvest from these orchards is stored in cold storages in addition to supplying the market.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, had a sincere conversation with the orchardists and gave useful advice on timely and loss-free harvesting, expanding the area of the orchards, increasing the volume of production, and thereby strengthening the country’s export potential.
It is worth noting that the climate of the Fayzobod district is favorable for growing apples and pears, and the total area of the orchards in the district has reached 6,420 hectares. This year, farmers in the district have created a new orchard on an area of 34 hectares. As of September 1, 7,646 tons of fruit have been harvested from all forms of farming.
Farmers, based on the instructions and guidance of the Head of State, are increasing the number of export fruit orchards and thereby obtaining a bountiful harvest. The harvest from these orchards, in addition to ensuring the abundance of the domestic market, is also sent for export. As the area of orchards increases, along with the increase in fruit production, the number of jobs also increases, providing the population with seasonal and permanent employment.
