High-level talks between Tajikistan and Russia within the framework of the state visit of the President of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Tajikistan began with a special meeting of the heads of the two states, Emomali Rahmon and Vladimir Putin, at the Palace of the Nation.

The President of the Republic of Tajikistan welcomed the distinguished guest to Tajikistan and expressed satisfaction with the expansion of relations between the two countries in the trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian, security, and regional and international spheres.

In turn, Vladimir Putin called Tajikistan a reliable ally and stated that Russia highly values ​​such relations with it. Referring to the development of trade and economic cooperation, including a significant increase in the volume of trade turnover, as well as the expected results of today’s talks, it was stated that the relations between Tajikistan and Russia would continue to develop steadily for the benefit of the peoples of the two countries.
