On October 9, the Central Asia – Russia Summit was held at the City Residence of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, chaired by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.
At the venue – Palace of Forums – the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, warmly and cordially welcomed each of the heads of state participating in the summit.
The heads of state of Central Asia and Russia participated in the summit: President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon, President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Sadyr Japarov, President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, Shavkat Mirziyoyev.
A group photo ceremony was held before the summit.
The Second Central Asia – Russia Summit then began in the majestic Sarazm Hall, chaired by the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon.
Initially, President Emomali Rahmon warmly welcomed the summit participants and high-ranking guests, expressing confidence that the meeting’s results would contribute to the further strengthening and expansion of effective multilateral cooperation within the Central Asia – Russia format.
Honorable Emomali Rahmon emphasized that the meeting’s agenda covers pressing issues of regional cooperation.
Priority areas included promoting trade and economic cooperation, facilitating investment growth, expanding humanitarian ties, and strengthening regional security.
It was expressed that decisions taken following the discussions would create a foundation for bolstering the spirit of solidarity and mutual understanding between the participating countries of the Central Asia – Russia format.
Our country’s President, Emomali Rahmon, noted that the active participation of heads of state and relevant bodies demonstrates the parties’ commitment to developing dialogue and strengthening strategic cooperation between the countries of the region and the Russian Federation.
Much attention was paid to strengthening trade, economic, investment, and humanitarian ties, as well as joint efforts to ensure stability and security in the region.
Following the summit, the heads of all participating countries delivered speeches in which they shared their views on pressing issues.
At the conclusion of the Central Asia – Russia Summit, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, summarized the results and thanked the participants for their constructive and fruitful work.
Following the Summit, the final Communiqué of the Summit and the Joint Action Plan for 2025-2027 were adopted.
