President Emomali Rahmon speaks in favor of further expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation with Iran

On October 14, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, received the Minister of Economy and Property of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mr. Seyed Ali Madanizadeh, on the sidelines of the International Investment Forum “Dushanbe Invest — 2025”.
During the meeting, satisfaction was expressed with the development of bilateral relations between the countries, and it was emphasized that with the increased efforts of the parties, this process will continue effectively in the future.
The results of the official visits of the top leadership of Tajikistan and Iran, negotiations and agreements reached at the highest level, as well as new signed documents were considered important for the further development of relations.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, emphasized the interest of the Tajik side in further expanding bilateral trade and economic cooperation, and noted the growing trend of trade exchange between the two countries.
It was pointed out that in 2024, the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to approximately 380 million US dollars, and it was expressed confidence that this figure would reach 500 million dollars and more in the near future.
In this regard, it was considered necessary to strengthen the work of bilateral instruments for the development of cooperation.
It was expressed confidence that the beneficial cooperation between the two countries, which share the same language and culture, will further expand in the future.
