President Emomali Rahmon participated in ceremony to commission the Dried Fruit Processing and Packaging Plant in Khujand

On November 18, during his working visit to Khujand, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, commissioned the dried fruit processing and packaging plant «Donai Almos» Limited Liability Company.
The plant was built within the framework of a public-private partnership by domestic entrepreneur Ozoda Hazratzoda on an area of 4,782 square meters.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, got acquainted with the production capabilities and technological lines used for processing fresh fruit and producing dried products.
The Leader of the Nation was informed that the main activity of this plant is the processing, packaging, and export of dried fruits, where more than 20 types of products are prepared, including dried apricots with pits, pistachios, cherries, apricots, peanuts, mulberries and a mixture of a number of dried fruits.
The enterprise is equipped with modern foreign equipment and has the capacity to process up to 2,000 tons of fruit per year and package products in various forms.
Dried fruits processed at the enterprise are prepared in accordance with international standards and are exported to more than 30 countries, including Germany, Russia, China, Belarus, Azerbaijan, Iran, Turkiye, and the United Arab Emirates. Apricot kernels are exported from here to Germany for use in milk processing.
The Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, instructed that manufacturers should first of all pay special attention to the quality of processing, modern packaging and promotion of the domestic brand so that domestic products are competitive in international markets.
With the launch of the Donai Almos enterprise, 40 local residents were provided with jobs and good salaries. It was reported that in the future work will be carried out in 2 shifts, and the number of workers will double.
Samples of the products of this industrial enterprise and agricultural products of the region were exhibited in the courtyard of the enterprise.
During his visit to the exhibition, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, gave useful instructions to entrepreneurs regarding supplying the consumer market with competitive products and strengthening the export of domestic goods and products.
