Rustam Emomali, Natalya Kochanova discuss strengthening parliamentary ties between Tajikistan and Belarus

On November 13, in Dushanbe, as part of the events of the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly (IPA), the Speaker of the National Assembly of the Republic of Tajikistan, Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustami Emomali, held a meeting with the Chairperson of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of Belarus Natalya Kochanova.
During the meeting, the state and prospects of strategic relations between Tajikistan and Belarus were discussed.
Satisfaction was expressed with the steady development of mutually beneficial partnership.
The parties highly appreciated the role of regular high-level dialogue between the heads of the two states, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon and His Excellency Alexander Lukashenko, in further strengthening and expanding friendly relations and strategic partnership between Tajikistan and Belarus.
Particular attention was paid to the development of inter-parliamentary ties as an important area of bilateral relations.
The implementation of joint projects in the fields of agriculture, light industry, food, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, and mining was recognized as an important area for the comprehensive expansion of trade and economic potential.
The parties expressed their readiness to expand cooperation in the cultural and humanitarian spheres, education, science, and new technologies.
At the end of the meeting, the parties emphasized the importance of cooperation between countries within regional and international organizations, as well as in ensuring security and stability.
