The Youth Forum of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, aimed at strengthening ties among the region’s peoples, will take place in Dushanbe in 2026, Khovar reports.
The SCO Youth Forum contributes to strengthening international cooperation, cultural exchange and mutual understanding between young people from different countries.
Such forums allow participants to share their experiences, new ideas and projects aimed at improving the social, economic and environmental situation in the world.
It should be worth noting that the this announcement was made by Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan Kokhir Rasulzoda at the meeting of the SCO Council of Heads of Government in Moscow, as reported by TASS.
“I would like to announce that the SCO Youth Forum will be held in Dushanbe in March 2026 with a view to strengthening contacts between our peoples. It will serve as an important platform for expanding contacts and cooperation among our youth,” the prime minister stated.
He added that Tajikistan places particular importance on developing humanitarian cooperation among the member states and supports initiatives such as the SCO Tourism and Cultural Capital to foster greater exchange.
Kokhir Rasulzoda also noted that Tajikistan will assume the chairmanship of the SCO Council of Heads of Government in 2026. “Tajikistan will focus its efforts on further strategic upgrade of the organization’s economic agenda,” he said.
