DUSHANBE, 08.12.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – The Second International Mining and Metallurgical Forum of Tajikistan will be held on 9 December in Dushanbe. This major international industry event is being held under the auspices of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan.
According to the Ministry of Industry and New Technologies of the Republic of Tajikistan, the main objectives of the Second Forum are to identify potential areas of cooperation between companies involved in production at all stages of the global value chain, and to create a platform for international cooperation by establishing contacts between local and foreign companies, brands and enterprises. The implementation of these tasks will contribute to the mutually beneficial integration of economies, increase production efficiency and ensure the reliability of production chains.
«Tajikistan already has the main parts of the value chain in place, i.e. it has a raw material base and engages in extraction, processing and export of products. Our main task is to develop processing and metallurgy, expand the production of metal products and semi-finished products, and attract even more investment and technology. Achieving these goals will enable the country to become a separate link in the global chain: from ore to the creation of the final metal/product and its export.
Another important task is to promote the improvement of knowledge and professional skills in the field of mining and to ensure the exchange of experience between domestic manufacturers on issues of sustainable development of the mining industry using environmentally friendly materials and equipment,» the ministry noted.
According to the source, the Second Forum plans to sign an Action Plan, as well as agreements and memoranda with leading mining equipment manufacturers. These include joint activity agreements with international investment companies and foreign ministries. The ministry is expected to sign more than five cooperation agreements.
