On December 31, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, had a telephone conversation with the President of the Russian Federation, Honorable Vladimir Putin.
Our Head of State condemned the recent drone attack on the residence of the President of the Russian Federation in the Novgorod region. It was particularly emphasized that such actions, threatening state facilities and the security of the country’s leadership, are unacceptable, and that they create obstacles to the negotiation process aimed at achieving peace and stability.
The Presidents of Tajikistan and Russia congratulated each other on the upcoming New Year 2026, sincerely wished each other good health and success, and to the friendly peoples of the two countries — lasting peace, well-being, and prosperity.
At the end of the conversation, the Heads of State positively assessed the development of bilateral cooperation and stressed their readiness to accelerate the expansion of the strategic partnership in 2026.
