On December 19, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met in Tokyo with the Executive Director of the Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security (JOGMEC) Ichiro Takahara.
At the beginning of the conversation, the President of the country, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, stated that we are interested in cooperating with the Organization to implement projects in the energy and mining sectors.
Great attention was paid to using the potential of our country in the industrial sector, modernizing mining and processing technologies, and establishing joint production enterprises.
It was considered necessary to launch practical cooperation in the implementation of projects in the field of renewable energy by attracting investment and new technologies.
It was also emphasized that we are interested in the active participation of Japanese companies in the implementation of “green technologies” in Tajikistan.
The Japan Organization for Metals and Energy Security was invited to establish joint cooperation with government agencies, universities, and research institutions of Tajikistan in the field of studying and developing subsoil resources.
