President Emomali Rahmon participated in ceremony to commission Shiri Jaihun milk processing factory

On December 25, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, visited the Bokhtar region of Khatlon Province to familiarize himself with the progress of construction and creative works, inaugurate a number of important facilities, and visit agricultural farms.
During the visit, a total of about 60 facilities will be put into operation, and the construction of 7 more facilities will be launched. In the education sector alone, 18 general education institutions for 13,700 students in two shifts and 10 preschool institutions for 1,500 children will be put into operation. Also, 8 industrial enterprises with about 600 jobs will be opened. In addition, during the current year, 546 kilometers of roads have been renovated within the region with the contributions of entrepreneurs and generous people.
The working visit of the Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon, to Jaihun district of Khatlon Provincebegan with the opening of «Shiri Jaihun» Milk Processing Factory.
This new industrial enterprise, established on the basis of the Dushanbe Dairy Factory Closed Joint-Stock Company, produces more than 10 types of products, including cream, cottage cheese, kefir, jurghot, fruit kefir, dughob, and maska.
The enterprise has two cold stores for storing products and a special vehicle for delivering products to points of sale. With the commissioning of the «Shiri Jaihun» Limited Liability Company, 35 local residents have permanent jobs, another 15 are engaged in collecting milk from the population and other auxiliary work, a total of 50 people have been provided with jobs and good salaries.
The production capacity of Shiri Jaihun is 10 tons of high-quality dairy products per day.
During the tour of the production process, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, was informed that the enterprise’s products are sold under the name Shiri Jaihun in various containers, mainly in domestic markets.
The raw products of the enterprise are available from the population, and for this purpose, 3 vehicles have been allocated, and milk collection points have been established in 4 villages of the Jaihun district. The products delivered to the enterprise are tested in a laboratory equipped in accordance with international requirements and standards before processing.
After getting acquainted with the production process, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, visited the exhibition of the enterprise’s products.
While getting acquainted with the enterprise’s products, the Leader of the Nation gave instructions and recommendations to the officials to pay close attention to compliance with safety regulations during milk processing and packaging in accordance with national and international requirements.
