Khovar, Saudi Press Agency sign MoU on cooperation in information exchange

DUSHANBE, 05.12.2025 (NIAT Khovar) – Today, the National Information Agency “Khovar” of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Information Agency “S.P.A” of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed a Memorandum of Cooperation in the field of information exchange, Khovar reports.
The memorandum was signed in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, by the director of the National Information Agency of Tajikistan “Khovar” Subkhiddin Shamshiddinzoza and the acting chairman of the Saudi Arabian News Agency “S.P.A” Hassan ibn Muhammad al-Asmari.
This document aims to strengthen professional cooperation in the field of information exchange based on the principles of equality, mutual respect, and trust, as well as consideration of common interests. The memorandum will be implemented within the framework of national legislation and will contribute to the expansion of information exchange.
Subhiddin Shamsiddinzoada, Director of the National Information Agency of Tajikistan “Khovar,” noted: «Cooperation in the information sphere in the future may become an important component in strengthening multifaceted ties between Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia, and will also contribute to a broader presentation of the status, potential, achievements, and successes of the two states in the international arena. We are confident that this Memorandum of Cooperation will benefit not only the two news agencies, but also all media outlets in Tajikistan and Saudi Arabia.»
It should be noted that this is a second document on cooperation between the National Information Agency of Tajikistan and the Arab states. In 2024, a similar cooperation document was signed with the State of Kuwait.
In accordance with this document, the parties have the right to disseminate the information received on the territory of their states using all available means, with the mandatory indication of the source. Also, within the framework of the Memorandum, events related to visits by heads of state, official government delegations, as well as other international events held on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia will be promptly covered.
