Tajikistan and the EU strengthen cooperation in energy and water resources

The Minister of Energy and Water Resources of the Republic of Tajikistan, Daler Jum held a meeting with the Head of the Department for Cooperation of the European Union Delegation to the Republic of Tajikistan, Isabel Uritz Hernandez, Khovar reports citing press-centre of the ministry.
During the meeting, the parties discussed the content state and future prospect of bilateral cooperation in the field of energy and water resources.
It was emphasised that Tajikistan, as a country with great hydropower potential, attaches particular importance to the implementation of major infrastructure projects in the energy sector. The importance of strengthening cooperation in order to implement priority projects in the field of energy and water resources was noted.
At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to continue and expand mutually beneficial cooperation within the framework of joint programmes and projects.
