On February 27, a meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Head of the Government of the country, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon.
At the beginning of the meeting of the Government of the country, the report of the Minister of Education and Science Rahim Saidzoda on the Program for the Development of Preschool Education and Training in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026-2030 was first heard.
It was emphasized that the program had been developed with the aim of continuing the accelerated process of construction of preschool educational institutions, creating a favorable environment for the education and training of children, expanding high-quality access to this level of education and training of the younger generation, and improving the qualification level of personnel in the sector.
It was also noted that this program had been developed with the aim of strengthening the legal, economic, and organizational foundations to ensure the sustainable development of the preschool education system, and its implementation is aimed at improving the level and quality of education and training of children.
By the end of the program, 800 new institutions in this field should be built, and the coverage of children aged 3 to 6 with preschool education in the country should be increased to more than 50%.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, instructed to approve the Program for the Development of Preschool Education and Training in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026-2030 and its implementation plan, and to submit information on its implementation to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan annually by February 1.
It was stressed that preschool educational institutions should exist everywhere, even in remote villages.
During the meeting on the Mid-Term Program for the Development of the Digital Economy in the Republic of Tajikistan for 2026-2030, a report by Mirzo Khurshed, Director of the Agency for Innovation and Digital Technologies, was heard.
It was emphasized that the program sets the future course for the development of the digital economy in the Republic of Tajikistan by clearly and precisely identifying relevant priority areas and related medium-term tasks.
It was noted that 2 billion 366 million 800 thousand somoni are needed to implement the program, which will be financed from the state budget, the private sector, and development partners.
The President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, instructed the relevant ministries and agencies to ensure the implementation of the program and its implementation plan, and to submit information on its results to the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan by March 1 each year.
Other important issues were also discussed during the meeting and relevant decisions were made on them.
At the end of the meeting of the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, gave specific instructions and assignments to the Government of the country and ministries and agencies to implement the issues discussed.
Also, the attention of the heads of state authorities and executive bodies of regions, cities and districts was drawn to the effective use of arable land, the expansion of spring planting, especially cotton, potatoes, corn and legumes, the increase in the export of early fruits and vegetables, planting and floriculture, electricity supply, the transition to a billing system for electricity consumption, and the intensification of improvement and construction measures in honor of the grand celebration of the International Navruz celebrations and the 35th anniversary of state independence.
