Tajikistan, EU Discuss Expanding Strategic Research Cooperation

The leadership of the Centre for Strategic Studies under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan held talks with a delegation of the European Union on strengthening scientific and analytical cooperation, exchanging experience, and expanding contacts between research institutions, reports Khovar citin the Centre’s press service.
The meeting, organised at the initiative of the EU Delegation, focused on the current state and future prospects of regional cooperation between the European Union and Central Asia. The sides reviewed a wide range of issues related to diplomatic relations between Tajikistan and the EU, as well as bilateral and multilateral cooperation.
It was emphasised that cooperation with the European Union is among Tajikistan’s foreign policy priorities and has expanded in recent years across political, economic, social, and analytical areas.
The discussions also covered the analysis of regional and international developments, foreign policy prospects, and opportunities for joint projects in the field of strategic research.
At the conclusion of the meeting, both sides reaffirmed their readiness to further develop cooperation, stressing the importance of continued constructive dialogue and strengthening partnership ties in the interests of both parties.
