Tajikistan Participates in First Central Asia–Germany “C5+1” Foreign Ministers’ Meeting in Berlin

DUSHANBE, 12.02.2026 (NIAT Khovar) – The first meeting of the Foreign Ministers of Central Asia and Germany in the “C5+1” format was held in Berlin, with the delegation from Tajikistan led by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Sirojiddin Muhriddin.

During the meeting, the ministers discussed key international and regional issues, as well as economic, investment, humanitarian, migration, and security cooperation within the “C5+1” framework.

In his speech, Mr. Muhriddin highlighted the strengthening of Tajikistan–Germany cooperation in economy, investment, energy, industry, education, science, and culture, emphasizing people-to-people relations. He noted that the meeting reflects the shared commitment of Central Asian countries and Germany to sustainable regional development.

The ministers underscored the importance of addressing climate change, promoting the water and climate agenda, fostering intercultural dialogue, and combating modern threats. Tajikistan’s significant contributions to regional peace and stability were also highlighted.

Minister Muhriddin invited participants to the 4th High-Level International Conference on the International Decade for Action “Water for Sustainable Development,” 2018–2028, to be held in Dushanbe on May 25–28, 2026.

The meeting concluded with the adoption of the Berlin Declaration.
