President Emomali Rahmon Chairs Security Council Meeting on Disaster Response, Border Security and Public Safety

On May 4, a meeting of the Security Council of the Republic of Tajikistan was held under the chairmanship of the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Chairman of the Security Council and Leader of the Nation, Emomali Rahmon.
The meeting, attended by members of the Security Council, the Chairman of the Majlisi Milli, the Mayor of Dushanbe, Rustami Emomali, and heads of security and military agencies, as well as law enforcement bodies, addressed issues related to disaster relief, the progress of the spring conscription, maintaining law and order and statutory requirements in units of the Armed Forces and other military formations, the continued planned construction of necessary buildings and structures in border areas, strengthening state border security, and ensuring public safety and stability.
The Head of State, Emomali Rahmon, heard reports from responsible officials on these and other pressing issues and set specific tasks for the relevant agencies to address existing problems and shortcomings.
