Serdar Berdimuhamedov, Kohir Rasulzoda Discuss Expanding Trade and Bilateral Cooperation in Ashgabat

President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov met on Friday with Prime Minister of Tajikistan Kohir Rasulzoda, who is in Ashgabat to attend the upcoming meeting of the CIS Council of Heads of Government.
At the start of the talks, Rasulzoda conveyed warm greetings and a message from Tajikistan’s President Emomali Rahmon, underscoring continued high-level political dialogue between the two countries.
Officials discussed a broad agenda of bilateral cooperation, emphasizing that relations between Tajikistan and Turkmenistan are grounded in friendship, good-neighborliness, and mutual respect.
Economic cooperation featured prominently in the talks, with both sides highlighting the need to further expand mutual trade and strengthen practical ties. The officials also pointed to the role of the Intergovernmental Commission between the two countries as a key mechanism for advancing joint projects and initiatives.
