Tajik Delegation Highlights Urban Development at World Cities Forum in Baku

A Tajik delegation led by Nizom Mirzozoda, chairman of the Committee for Architecture and Construction under the Government of Tajikistan, participated in the World Cities Forum held May 17 in Baku.
The forum focused on sustainable urban development, implementation of the New Urban Agenda, urban infrastructure development, the use of modern technologies and digitalization in urban planning, according to the Committee for Architecture and Construction.
Tajik officials said the event served as an important platform for exchanging experience and expanding international cooperation in the field of urban development.
During the forum, Mirzozoda presented Tajikistan’s progress in construction and urban infrastructure development, highlighting achievements made since the country’s independence under state development programs and strategies.
Participants were also shown a video titled “Dushanbe — the Pearl of the East,” showcasing architectural and urban development projects in Tajikistan’s capital, including major state and social infrastructure projects.
Forum delegates discussed urban development challenges, modern planning practices and opportunities for enhanced cooperation in architecture and construction, expressing interest in strengthening international collaboration.
