On June 23, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, sent a telegram of condolences to the Emir of the State of Qatar, His Highness Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, which reads:
«Your Highness,
The tragic news of the loss of life and the serious injuries sustained by many people as a result of a technical accident at the gas processing complex in the Ras Laffan Industrial City of the State of Qatar has caused us deep sorrow.
In these difficult moments, I extend my sincere condolences and deepest sympathies to Your Highness and the friendly people of Qatar. I also pray for patience and strength for the families and loved ones of the deceased, and for the swift and full recovery of all those injured.»
