The Shanghai Cooperation Organization plays an important role in strengthening economic and investment cooperation, expanding mutual trade and developing strategic partnerships among member states, Chairman of the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management of Tajikistan Sulton Rahimzoda said at an SCO investment forum in Bishkek.

The forum, held under the theme “25 Years of the SCO: Together Towards Sustainable Peace, Development and Prosperity,” brought together representatives of member states to discuss economic cooperation and investment opportunities, according to the State Committee for Investment and State Property Management of Tajikistan.

Rahimzoda emphasized the importance of effectively using existing opportunities to attract investment, develop infrastructure, implement joint production projects and strengthen ties between entrepreneurs and investors.

During the forum, Tajikistan presented its investment opportunities and competitive advantages. Participants were also informed about economic reforms, efforts to improve the investment climate and government measures aimed at supporting investors.

On the sidelines of the event, Rahimzoda held bilateral meetings with heads and representatives of economic and investment agencies from SCO member states. The discussions focused on strengthening economic cooperation, attracting foreign direct investment and implementing joint projects in priority sectors of the economy.
