Khatlon Agricultural Output Reaches 17.1 Billion Somoni in First Half of 2026

Agricultural production in Khatlon region reached 17.1 billion somoni ($1.8 billion) in the first six months of 2026, up 6% from the same period last year, according to Khatlon Chairman Davlatali Said.
Khatlon accounted for 59% of Tajikistan’s total agricultural production during the period, Said said at a news conference.
Farmers in the region planted 330,948 hectares of agricultural crops, exceeding the target by 19,204 hectares. Grain crops were planted on 117,436 hectares, up 9,311 hectares from the same period in 2025. An additional 31,293 hectares were replanted.
Agricultural producers in the region harvested 423,400 tons of grain, 176,000 tons of potatoes, more than 1.014 million tons of vegetables, 544,600 tons of legumes and 144,300 tons of fruit.
The region also produced 55,400 tons of meat and 170,500 tons of milk, as well as 71.3 million eggs, 3,742 tons of wool, 191.1 tons of cocoons, 315 tons of honey and 1,079 tons of fish.
