On the sidelines of the meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, Honorable Emomali Rahmon, met with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, Honorable Nikol Pashinyan.

At the beginning of the conversation, Emomali Rahmon congratulated Nikol Pashinyan on his reappointment as the Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, and emphasized the attachment of Tajikistan to the development of bilateral relations with Armenia.

“We are ready for further joint efforts to enrich the relations between our countries with new practical content,” — said the President of Tajikistan, Emomali Rahmon.

As noted, trade and economic relations between Tajikistan and Armenia have been constantly in the spotlight, and legal foundations have been created for their steady development.

In order to increase the indicators of the turnover of goods and products between the two countries, it was considered necessary to ensure the development of bilateral trade, contacts of business circles, and the organization of trade forums.

In this regard, the need to hold the next meeting of the Intergovernmental Commission on Economic and Trade Cooperation was stressed.

Issues of cooperation in the fields of culture, science and education, youth, and strengthening multilateral relations were also important topics of discussion.
