Tajikistan, Azerbaijan Discuss Expanding Tourism Cooperation

Ilhom Abdurahmon, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Tajikistan to the Republic of Azerbaijan, met with Fuad Naghiyev, Chairman of the State Tourism Agency of Azerbaijan, to discuss the current state and future prospects of bilateral cooperation in tourism.
According to the Embassy of Tajikistan in Azerbaijan, the sides exchanged views on expanding tourism cooperation, sharing experience and implementing joint initiatives.
Particular attention was given to the prompt agreement and signing of the Roadmap for Cooperation between the Tourism Authorities of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan for 2027–2029.
The parties noted that the document would provide a practical framework for implementing agreements previously reached between the Committee for Tourism Development under the Government of Tajikistan and Azerbaijan’s State Tourism Agency.
The sides expressed readiness to maintain an active dialogue, make effective use of existing opportunities and further strengthen tourism cooperation between the two countries, with the aim of bringing bilateral ties in the sector to a new level.
