Today, a telephone conversation took place between the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, and the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan, His Excellency Shavkat Mirziyoyev.

At the beginning of the conversation, President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, who made the first call, warmly congratulated the Head of our state on his birthday and wished the Leader of the Nation strong health and new successes in his state activities.

During the conversation, the two Heads of State discussed the current state and prospects of Tajik-Uzbek relations of friendship and good-neighborliness within the framework of strategic partnership and allied relations, and expressed their support for continued joint efforts to further expand cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The Heads of State also reaffirmed their commitment to continuing joint efforts to further expand mutually beneficial cooperation between Tajikistan and Uzbekistan.

The two sides also exchanged views on other current issues of mutual interest.
