On October 5, the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Leader of the Nation, His Excellency Emomali Rahmon, inaugurated General Secondary Education Institution No. 51 (named after Khudoyor Rajabov) on Ismoili Somoni Avenue in Kulob City, following its complete renovation and modernization.

The Head of State was informed that the educational institution was originally built and opened in 2004 but had subsequently required renovation and modernization.

The modernization work was completed to a high standard within a short timeframe through the contribution of the Jobirzoda family and the involvement of 200 local workers, in collaboration with the country’s Ministry of Education and Science. The renovated facility now accommodates 2,600 students across two shifts, providing conditions that meet modern standards.

The renovated institution employs 93 teachers and 26 technical staff members. The institution features 50 classrooms, including specialized subject rooms equipped with the necessary visual aids and materials for chemistry, biology, physics, geography, mathematics, computer literacy, foreign language learning, vocational training for boys and girls, and military training.

Staff rooms, traditional and digital libraries, a medical unit, and a 100-seat assembly hall have all been adapted to meet modern standards for education and professional activity.

A spacious, well-equipped sports hall—renovated as part of the facility’s upgrade—facilitates training in football, volleyball, basketball, table tennis, and chess, while also promoting a healthy lifestyle and physical conditioning among students. The renovated outdoor sports ground is another asset of the school, supporting the development of physical education and sports.

During his visit, the President of the country, Emomali Rahmon, highly commended the quality of the work and expressed his gratitude to the entrepreneurs who contributed to the school’s renovation and improvement. This initiative was hailed as a clear example of entrepreneurs contributing to the development of the education sector and the advancement of the country.

It was emphasized that, alongside the creation of favorable conditions for education and upbringing, the quality of learning and knowledge must remain the top priority.

The modernization of General Secondary Education Institution No. 51 (named after Khudoyor Rajabov)—carried out during the celebrations marking the 35th anniversary of the State Independence of the Republic of Tajikistan—represents a significant step toward creating suitable conditions for the education and upbringing of the younger generation and strengthening the material and technical infrastructure of the education sector.
